Zapraszamy na wyjątkowe, trzydniowe warsztaty rytmiczne prowadzone przez Karthika Krishnę z Bengaluru (Indie) - cenionego muzyka, nauczyciela i mistrza rytmu, od lat zgłębiającego zarówno tradycję północnoindyjską, jak i południowoindyjskie systemy rytmiczne muzyki karnatyckiej.

Nie będą to warsztaty gry na tabli ani kurs konkretnego instrumentu. Ich celem jest poznanie indyjskiego podejścia do rytmu oraz odkrycie, jak tradycyjne indyjskie metody pracy z pulsem, podziałami i improwizacją można wykorzystać na dowolnym instrumencie perkusyjnym.

Warsztaty są otwarte dla wszystkich – zarówno dla osób bez doświadczenia muzycznego, jak i dla muzyków, perkusistów, którzy chcieliby poszerzyć swoje rytmiczne horyzonty.

W programie:
• podstawowe koncepcje rytmu w tradycji indyjskiej
• konnakol – rytmiczna recytacja sylab używana przez indyjskich muzyków
• rozwijanie poczucia pulsu i świadomości rytmicznej
• rytm, matematyka i kreatywność w muzyce
• struktury parzyste i nieparzyste oraz ich zastosowanie w groove'ie i improwizacji
• przenoszenie indyjskich koncepcji rytmicznych na różne instrumenty perkusyjne
• budowanie wspólnych struktur rytmicznych i improwizacji grupowej

Warsztaty będą miały praktyczny charakter i będą stopniowo prowadzić uczestników do wspólnego tworzenia rytmu w grupie.

Zwieńczeniem warsztatów będzie finał podczas czwartkowego jam session, gdzie uczestnicy będą mogli wykorzystać i zaprezentować elementy wypracowane podczas wspólnej pracy.

Ostatni dzień będzie dniem finałowym zakończonym otwartym jam session.

Nie jest wymagane wcześniejsze doświadczenie muzyczne ani znajomość indyjskiej muzyki. Mile widziane są własne instrumenty perkusyjne, jednak udział jest możliwy również bez instrumentu.

We invite you to join a unique three-day rhythm workshop led by Karthik Krishna from Bengaluru, India - an acclaimed musician, teacher, and rhythm master who has spent many years exploring both the North Indian rhythmic tradition and the South Indian rhythmic systems of Carnatic music.

This will not be a tabla workshop or a course focused on a specific instrument. Instead, the aim is to explore the Indian approach to rhythm and discover how traditional Indian concepts of pulse, subdivisions, and improvisation can be applied to any percussion instrument.

The workshop is open to everyone, from complete beginners with no musical background to musicians and percussionists who would like to expand their rhythmic horizons.

Workshop topics include:

• fundamental concepts of rhythm in Indian musical traditions
• konnakol - the art of rhythmic syllable recitation used by Indian musicians
• developing pulse, timing, and rhythmic awareness
• rhythm, mathematics, and creativity in music
• even and odd rhythmic structures and their use in groove and improvisation
• applying Indian rhythmic concepts to different percussion instruments
• creating shared rhythmic structures and group improvisation

The workshop will be highly practical and will gradually guide participants toward creating rhythm together as a group.

The workshop will culminate in a final presentation during Thursday's jam session, where participants will have the opportunity to apply and showcase elements developed throughout the workshop.

The final day will conclude with an open jam session.

No previous musical experience or knowledge of Indian music is required. Participants are welcome to bring their own percussion instruments, but it is also possible to take part without an instrument.
