Gyenge Veroni (stagename) born in 1994 is a slam poet living in Slovakia as a Hungarian minority (her culture is mixed, citizenship is Slovak but mother tongue Hungarian). She was the first woman and first foreigner to win the Hungarian National Poetry Slam Championship in 2021. She is the finalist of the European and the 2022 World Poetry Slam Championship and earned bronze at the 2024 Slovak Poetry Slam Championship. Represented Hungary and Slovakia internationally at poetry events and festivals in Austria, Belgium, UK, Czech Republic, Mexico, Romania and Poland. Her aim is to show the magic of imperfection, comfort those who feel alone and to show the benefits of authenticity. The world is her stage and also toilet, she hates and loves everyone equally - including herself. Started performing and attending poetry contests in 2015, she writes poetry, slam poems and rap songs in Slovak, Hungarian and English language. Veroni is also an activist for human, minority and queer rights performing her poems through protests and demonstrations often in multiple languages. She is also coaching poets, organizing events as well as translating slam poems.

and received an African Artistic Award for literature. 
Their collection “Meutes” is published by Midis Poésie.
They works closely with the associative sectors on social and educational levels. 
To rethink the world by deconstructing its systems of oppression.
