I am also a certified Predation Substitute Training (PST) instructor. I actively compete in nosework with my two wonderful female dogs: Chila and Foxa 🐶💖 Chila is nearly 13 years old and is a Bavarian Mountain Hound. We trained agility for over three years, did some utility tracking, and have been training nosework for over 9 years. Currently, we compete in Class 3, and in 2025 Chila earned the title of Grand Champion of Nosework Europa 🏆 Foxa is 7 years old, a Smooth Collie, and has been scenting since her 9th week of life. We currently compete in Class 2 and have also started our first steps in obedience and tracking. Three years ago, I adopted Gina, a 13-year-old German Shepherd–type mix taken from an intervention case. She was supposed to be an emergency foster dog, but by the third day I knew I would never give her back ❤️ ________________________________________ Jagoda Szarek-Jankowska My adventure with scent activities – nosework and mantrailing – began with my first dog, Guru, a Malamute 🐺 I currently continue this journey with Magni, a five-year-old Husky. What I value most in both sports is that they are based on elements of the hunting behavior chain, help fulfill a dog’s natural needs, and significantly improve communication and the relationship between dog and handler 🤍🐕 When I adopted Magni, I already had experience in nosework and tracking, so we started scent training on the second day after adoption. After two years of intensive, consistent, yet inspiring work, we successfully passed GAK9 Level 1 exams in the Field and Rural categories 🎯 Our training has been supported for years by tracking instructors: Ola Jakubowska, Marta Wrzeszcz, and Paula Rzewuska.
