All are welcome to our annual winter Foresters’ Workshop – Otzi’s Paradise! We’ll be at the Group Shelter camping area (head left right after the entry gate; camping area is on far side of parking lot).
We will have several campfires going for warmth, community and cooking! This year we’ll assay a hike of the mountain focused on finding animal sign in the winter. There are sure to be other skills to be worked on (fire starting and building, cordage making and others surely spring to mind) and folks are welcome to bring along a project to work on.
Dress warmly – garb is encouraged, but warmth and safety are paramount; we want to have you there, and we want you to enjoy your time!
This is open to EVERYONE – you do not need to be a member of the Foresters’ Guild to attend, though you may find yourself intrigued if you do! You don’t even have to be a participant in the SCA - - we welcome newcomers!!!
We may even hold a short Foresters’ Court, as well.
There are no fees other than the state park entry fees - $4 for adult Maine resident; $6 for adult non-resident; $2 senior non-resident. Children 5-11 $1; Children under 5 and Maine residents 65 and older – free.
Please do not bring firewood; the park will provide plenty at our site; donations to help cover costs are welcome. Information on Bradbury and park rules can be found here:
