David lives with his sister Martha (Rhiannon McAfee), an emotionally isolated high school teacher.  Martha's vitality is ebbing away under David's constant need for care and support, but she sees a future in a growing mutual attraction with Megs. 

Together, Megs and Martha must convince David to make his peace the war and get on with his life.
