 ⭐️ ? ?What is Poulsbo Maritime Illuminate?

For the very first time in Poulsbo, we’re bringing a magical community gathering of light, sea, and connection! Imagine strolling through downtown with glowing lanterns, jellyfish, starfish, squid, and boats, paddle boards, and kayaks illuminated with sea creatures—all while sipping warm drinks, enjoying an evening walk, and soaking in the joyful, small-town vibe.
 
This is a free, alcohol-free event with no sales on site—it's all about families, kids, and community. It’s so kid-friendly that many families even bring their dogs dressed up in glowing costumes—because everyone can shine at Illuminate! If you’d like to enjoy a drink, feel free to stop by one of Poulsbo’s amazing local restaurants or pubs beforehand.

This isn’t a big festival—it’s a heartfelt evening where friends and neighbors come together to create lasting memories of light and laughter
 
Schedule of Magic: 

4:00 PM – Arrive early, explore, and enjoy the stroll—shop at the local downtown stores, and plan to stay for dinner or warm up with hot cocoa at a cozy Poulsbo restaurant.
 
Just before twilight, we’ll gather at the Pavilion to light up the waterfront together. When we held Illuminate in Gig Harbor, families had the best time ever—now it’s Poulsbo’s turn to shine! Afterward, post your pics and videos on our Facebook page—everyone loves seeing your glowing costumes!
 
We began this tradition in Gig Harbor during the pandemic, and it has now found a new home in Poulsbo! This year, the City isn’t allowing new large-scale events in the park (to protect the grass), so instead, we’ll be strolling around town and along the waterfront. Meet at the Pavilion—and let’s shine the light together!

Kids love carrying glowing lanterns—and adults do too—so everyone can enjoy the waterfront magic! Everyone is welcome!
