Lomilomi Introduction — One-Day Class
Sunday, April 19, 2026
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
(1-hour lunch break + short breaks)
Downtown Poulsbo, WA
This hands-on class introduces Lomilomi as an awareness-based healing practice, emphasizing presence, quality of touch, and the relationship between practitioner and receiver. Participants are guided in developing sensitive palpation, effective use of body weight, and an embodied understanding of how intention, listening, and touch shape the work. Hawaiian cultural and spiritual aspects of this practice are integral and are included alongside hands-on learning.
By the end of this one-day class, participants will be able to offer a simple Lomilomi session focused on the back of the body, with the client prone. Emphasis is placed on experiencing the deep yet gentle quality of touch characteristic of this work, and on understanding how that quality of touch supports therapeutic and clinical outcomes.
This is a Big Island therapeutic style of Lomilomi, emphasizing deep yet gentle touch, clinical application, and problem-solving bodywork.
Class size is intentionally limited to 4 participants to support individualized instruction and hands-on feedback.
Class investment: $180 (tax included)
Deposit: $75 to reserve your spot
