Join us for a Magic: The Gathering Commander event benefiting HVARS!

Bring your favorite Commander deck, gather your friends, and enjoy a great day of Magic while helping animals in our community. The more players who attend, the larger the prize pool and the greater our contribution to HVARS.

HOW THE PRIZE POOL WORKS

The payout is cumulative and paid out in store credit. Nothing resets when attendance reaches a new tier. All prize money and HVARS contributions already collected remain in place, and each new player's entry fee is divided according to the tier they enter.

PLAYERS 1-10

The first ten players contribute maximum prize support. The full $50 entry fee from each player goes into the player prize pool. The store will separately donate an additional $10 per player to HVARS, equal to 20% of the admission fee.

Each new player adds:
$50 to the player prize pool
$10 to HVARS, paid separately by the store

PLAYERS 11-20

Each additional $50 entry fee is divided evenly between the players and HVARS.

Each new player adds:
$25 to the player prize pool
$25 to HVARS

PLAYERS 21-30

Each additional $50 entry fee is weighted more heavily toward supporting HVARS.

Each new player adds:
$15 to the player prize pool
$35 to HVARS

PLAYERS 31 AND ABOVE

Each additional $50 entry fee returns to an even split between the players and HVARS.

Each new player adds:
$25 to the player prize pool
$25 to HVARS

WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER

At 10 players:
$500 player prize pool
$100 donated to HVARS

At 20 players:
$750 player prize pool
$350 donated to HVARS

At 30 players:
$900 player prize pool
$700 donated to HVARS

At 40 players:
$1,150 player prize pool
$950 donated to HVARS

At 50 players:
$1,400 player prize pool
$1,200 donated to HVARS

Bring a deck. Bring a friend. Build the prize pool. Help the animals.

Every seat makes the event bigger, and every player helps us make a greater impact for HVARS.

While there will be fuzzy friends to see in the store, HVARS does not do same day adoptions. Feel free to submit an application in advance!
