It’s almost that time of year again… storm season! And that means that we’re also gearing up for the season of severe weather training. If you’ve been holding your breath, waiting for the big announcement about Butler County’s “Storm Fury” date… please take a breath before you turn purple. But, also, here’s what you’ve been waiting for!
Below are the details on our county’s big public event (the presentation put on by our local NWS meteorologists):
DATE: Thursday, March 12th
TIME: 6:30 pm
LOCATION: The Point Events Center, 2101 Dearborn, Augusta
Like previous years, our department will also be re-delivering the material (upon request) in other communities around the county. Here are the other public events scheduled so far (we’ll add on as additional dates and locations get scheduled):
• Wednesday, March 18th, 7:00 pm at the Potwin Community House
• Thursday, March 19th, 6:30 pm at Andover City Hall
• Tuesday, March 31st, 7:00 pm at the Rose Hill Fire Station
