- **Event Description**: Our monthly Yin Yoga class includes a beautiful, soothing Yoga Nidra meditation at the end of the practice, transitioning into sound healing. 

Yin Yoga a is deeply relaxing, meditative practice that involves long, held poses supported by yoga bolsters, blankets, and blocks. It is wonderful for relieving stress and the stiffness that often results when the body responds to our emotional state. 

As we release the fascia and connective tissue in the body through these poses, the tension will also ease away from the mind and emotions, leaving you feeling relaxed and renewed. We have mats and props available for your use, or you can bring your own. 

Following the Yin sequence of poses, enjoy a guided Yoga Nidra meditation to help you feel relaxed, centered, and peaceful.  Yoga Nidra is nicknamed “divine sleep” as it provides benefits similar to a good night of solid rest, and transports us to a place somewhere between sleeping and wakefulness. 

The Yoga Nidra practice will transition into sound healing to help you integrate your practice, with shamanic drumming, Himalayan singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and other soothing sounds. 

The cost for this event is suggested donation of $15-$20 or what you are able to afford.

Although Yin Yoga is not as physically demanding as a flow yoga class, please contact me in advance if you have not attended one of our yoga classes previously, as well as  if you have any medical conditions or specific mobility limitations which may require accommodations.  

Mats, blankets and props are provided and will be set up in advance for your use.  Please wear warm and comfortable clothing. Bottled water is also available.
