- **Event Name**: Voice of the Earth Sound Bath: Cello Sounds of the Adirondacks, REGISTRATION REQUIRED
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 01 Nov, 2026 at 04:00 pm – Sun, 01 Nov, 2026 at 05:30 pm (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Late Fall Meditation & Cello Sound Bath
Led by Alisa G. Woods, PhD, LMHC
Licensed Psychotherapist and Sound Healer
with Benjamin Mambou, Guitarist and African World-Music Artist

Join us for a late fall evening of reflection, grounding, and deep relaxation as we transition into the quieter rhythms of the season.

This 90 minute immersive experience begins with a guided meditation designed to cultivate presence, calm, and connection. Participants will then be invited to rest and receive the healing resonance of a live sound bath featuring cello, guitar, sanza, Tibetan and crystal bowls, and African seed percussion.

The warm vibrations of live instruments create a restorative space for relaxation, mindfulness, and renewal—inviting participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the beauty of sound as a pathway to well-being.

✨ Part One – Guided Meditation
We begin with a grounding meditation to settle the body and quiet the mind, preparing participants to receive the full experience of the sound journey.

✨ Part Two – Live World Music Sound Bath
Participants will rest comfortably while Alisa and Benjamin create an immersive soundscape blending cello, guitar, sanza, Tibetan and crystal bowls, and natural percussion. The flowing textures and vibrations of the instruments support deep relaxation, emotional restoration, and connection with the natural world.

✨ Part Three – Cello Sounds of the Adirondacks: A New York State Grant-Funded Project

Following the sound bath, Alisa, accompanied by Benjamin, will present “Cello Sounds of the Adirondacks,” an original artistic project exploring the relationship between music, nature, and place.

Through the voice of the cello, this three-part experience highlights the unique sounds and landscapes of the Adirondacks, including:

• Sandstone — the ancient geological features that shape the region’s landscape

• Loons — the iconic calls that echo across Adirondack waters

• Waterways — including the Stone Valley Trail and the Raquette River, where flowing water becomes part of the musical landscape

This immersive performance celebrates the natural beauty of the North Country by weaving together live cello, environmental inspiration, and storytelling.

Mats, blankets, bolsters or folding chairs are provided but you are also free to bring your own equipment, such as a comfortable chair, or anything that helps you feel comfortable while resting.

No prior experience is needed—just an open presence and a willingness to receive the healing and restorative qualities of sound.
