- **Event Description**: Unlock the future of mobile BCI at the ANT Neuro–University of Potsdam Bootcamp!About this EventANT Neuro-University of Potsdam bootcamp for Mobile Brain-Computer Interface (BCI): Challenges, Opportunities, and ParadigmsJoin Us for the Mobile Brain-Computer Interface Bootcamp!Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) offer a powerful method of communication with machines using brain signals (mainly EEG). However, most interfaces operate in a seated setup, restricting real-world applications. Mobile Brain Imaging (MoBI) solutions present an opportunity to overcome this by creating Mobile BCIs (MoBCI).This bootcamp is designed for early-career researchers, Master's, and PhD students focused on the challenges and applications of capturing and utilizing brain activity in real-world, mobile environments. It is structured to bridge theory and practice, allowing participants to discuss and explore the technical and methodological challenges of creating this new generation of BCI.In a series of expert-led symposiums, you will explore the complete BCI pipeline, including BCI interaction design, advanced EEG signal processing and Machine Learning, the challenges of Mobile EEG, and large-scale collaborative efforts like the EEGManyPipelinesinitiative. These academic sessions build a full day of hands-on application. Using ANT Neuro hardware, you will apply these concepts directly in a Mobile BCI setup, progressing from basic implementation to the complexities of MoBCI design. This bootcamp offers a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the mobile BCI landscape, from theoretical paradigms to practical implementation. Connect with leading experts, develop hands-on skills, and explore the future of brain-computer interaction.Secure your place now for an inspiring journey of Mobile BCI!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -About the presentersProf. Dr. Fabien LotteBrain-Computer Interface (BCI) Researcher, Research Director (DR2) at Inria, FranceProf. Dr. Marta MolinasProfessor, Department of Engineering Cybernetics, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, NTNU, NorwayProf. Dr. Klaus GramannProfessor, Biopsychology and Neuroergonomics, Technical University of Berlin, GermanyProf. Dr. Klaus Gramann received his Ph.D. in psychology from RWTH Aachen, Aachen, Germany. He was a postdoc with the LMU Munich, Germany, and the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience, University of California at San Diego. After working as a visiting professor at the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan he became the chair of Biopsychology and Neuroergonomics with the Technical University of Berlin, Germany in 2012. Since 2017, he has also been a Professor with the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. His research covers the neural foundations of cognitive processes with a focus on the brain dynamics of embodied cognitive processes. He directs the Berlin Mobile Brain/Body Imaging Labs (BeMoBIL) that focus on imaging human brain dynamics in actively behaving participants.Prof. Dr. Claudia GianelliAssociate Professor, General Psychology, UNIME, ItalyProf. Dr. Martin H FischerFull Professor, Chair-Vice Dean, Cognitive Sciences, PECoG, University of Potsdam, GermanyMD Jaime A Riascos-SalasResearch Assistant and PhD Candidate, Psychology Department, PECoG, University of Potsdam, GermanyDr. Roman VakhrushevApplication Specialist, ANT Neuro, GermanyDr. Roman Vakhrushev is a neuroscientist interested in human visual and auditory sensory systems. During his Ph.D. in Göttingen, Germany, he investigated cross-modal reward mechanisms in early sensory systems. There he gave a series of lectures to university students on psychophysical methods, statistical analysis, and good practices in EEG experiments. Another range of his interests lies in attentional mechanisms, specifically, mechanisms of summary statistics and subliminal perception. Overall, Dr. Roman Vakhrushev has expertise in psychophysics, eye-tracking, and EEG.Dr. Fabio BarolloProduct Manager, ANT Neuro, GermanyDr. Fabio Barollo is a biomedical engineer and earned his joint PhD from Aston University (UK) and Reykjavik University (Iceland). His main research focus lies in the use of EEG to investigate the cortical mechanisms which regulate postural control, i.e., the sensorial-feedback system which allows us to maintain a balanced stance. His main experience involves EEG/EMG data analysis, source reconstruction, functional connectivity and brain network analysis. Currently, he is working for the Berlin-based medical technology company ANT Neuro as a product manager for research solutions.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -VenueThis event will take place in the beautiful city of Potsdam, Germany—renowned for its panorama of palaces, lush gardens, and historic charm alongside vibrant cultural life.
