- **Event Description**: Join professional music instructor and musician Caron Collins and Aromatherapist & Yoga Teacher Kat Wilcox for a special afternoon of musical meanderings, meditation, and aromatherapy! 

We will open our practice with some gentle movement to release tension and stagnant energy, coming to a place of seated stillness with intentional breathing and optional aromatherapy using a handcrafted ritual blend infused herbal oil applied to the temples. 

After setting an intention for our experience, attendees will find a comfortable position either seated or laying down with blankets and bolsters to enjoy a guided meditation followed by a musical improvisation, featuring Himalayan singing bowls, drumming, chimes, and other percussive instruments to help you feel peaceful, grounded and calm. 

We are excited to welcome Caron back as a visiting presenter to our space! Dr. Caron Collins, Professor Emerita of music education from The Crane School of Music, and recently Adjunct Instructor of Frame Drum. After 40 years’ experience in teaching instrumental music, she now designs and leads community music-making with The Pierrepont Players. Through these community events and musical instruction, she shares peace-building practices from her training with Musicians Without Borders. Her current musical interests are improvisation on Native American flute, Persian frame drumming, indigenous and environmental percussion.

This is a donation-based event, with suggested donation of $10-$20 or what you are able to afford.
