- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 11 Nov, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Wed, 11 Nov, 2026 at 04:00 pm (-06:00)
- **Event Description**: Join us this Veterans Day as we welcome Wisconsin author John Armbruster to Pages & Parcels!

John will be with us from 1–4 PM, showcasing his book, Tailspin.

Tailspin shares the incredible true story of Gene Moran, a Wisconsin B-17 tail gunner during World War II. After his plane was hit over Germany, Gene became trapped in the severed tail section and fell more than four miles — and survived.

John, a longtime history teacher and former journalist, became friends with Gene and went on to tell his remarkable story.

SPECIAL BOOK CLUB TALK | 3–4 PM
During his visit, John will join us for a special Book Club discussion about Tailspin. This will be a great opportunity to hear directly from the author, learn more about Gene's incredible story, and talk about the book together.

You do not need to attend the Book Club talk to stop in and meet John! He'll be showcasing Tailspin from 1–4 PM.
