Please join Not in My Name NH and 3S Artspace for a documentary screening of Louis Theroux's The Settlers followed by a Q&A facilitated by Not in My Name. The event will include a marketplace of Palestinian art and crafts, olive oil from the West Bank, books and information.

About the film: Documentarian Louis Theroux has returned to Palestine to take a deep look at how thesettlements have expanded since his film 14 years ago. That film, The Ultra Zionists, concerned a clutch of Jewish people who – propelled by religious nationalism – who were infringing on international law by building their homes in Palestinian territory. But, 14 years on, he has returned to find that the settlements have accelerated. The settler ideology has found itself gaining political traction. What was fringe has now become mainstream.

Louis Theroux embeds himself in the West Bank of Palestine, meeting prominent settlers - including the ‘godmother’ of the movement, Daniella Weiss - and travelling throughout the territory to understand the consequences of their activity. Louis also meets Palestinians whose lives have been impacted by settlers moving into their communities. As the world focuses on Gaza, where over 70,000 Palestinians are destimated to have been killed by Israeli forces since October 7, 2023, Louis discovers that the settlers are already making plans to move into that territory, too.
