As a solo artist, Smith leads the acclaimed band KINFOLK and earned two GRAMMY nominations for Postcards from Everywhere (2017). His Pocket Change series and viral drum videos have made him a widely followed educator and rhythmic innovator. 

His latest project, LIVE ACTION, brings together top-tier collaborators like Lalah Hathaway, Charlie Hunter, and CARRTOONS, capturing the raw feel of analog recording and live performance.
