Housed in a 72,000-square-foot facility, this community center provides space for childcare, after-school programs, and community services that support hundreds of local families. With funding from CDFA’s Community Center Investment Program, critical upgrades will ensure that this dynamic space remains secure, accessible, and equipped for the future. The ongoing renovations will improve building security, technology, infrastructure, and renovations to program spaces to sustain and expand the facility’s central role in community life. The addition of a new, inclusive and financially equitable full-time after-school program run by the Portsmouth Recreation Department, AIDS Response Seacoast, and the Robert J. Lister Academy, will further strengthen the center’s impact, ensuring that more residents can access the resources and support they need. What’s Next? Turning Conversation into ActionThe city of Portsmouth has already received grant funding to bring ideas from the discussion to life. By attending this event, you will help shape community-led projects launching later this year.CTA: Join Us & Share Your VoiceAgenda?: 05:30 PMDoors open at 5:30 PM?: 06:00 PM - 06:05 PMWelcome Address?: 06:05 PM - 06:15 PMMeet the facilitators and artist; overview of the evening’s discussion?: 06:15 PM - 07:00 PMFacilitated conversation (participants may be broken out into smaller groups)?: 07:00 PM - 07:15 PMWrap-up and sharing of main themes and thoughts
