Our speaker, Morgan Leigh, is a stroke and AVM survivor, advocate, and author. After surviving a ruptured arteriovenous malformation, a craniotomy, and multiple rounds of Gamma Knife treatment, Morgan now shares her journey to raise awareness around brain injury recovery and survivor support. Her story is one of resilience, gratitude, and hope, reminding others that life after trauma still holds purpose.

During the event, Morgan will discuss her book, Stroke Warrior: Living With AVM, which will be available for purchase, followed by a book signing opportunity. Her presentation will also include a Community Conversation panel featuring advocates, families, and allies, creating space for meaningful dialogue and reflection.

Guests attending the event are also invited to view Beyond the Diagnosis, a powerful art installation highlighting the human stories behind rare medical conditions.

This special event is part of Pennfield’s Care for Rare initiative, a week dedicated to empathy, awareness, and understanding through personal storytelling and shared experiences.
