- **Event Description**: For the past year, a team of local volunteers has worked to hand embroider a 3'x4' linen panel with scenes important to Rhode Island's contribution to the American Revolution, including the Battle of Rhode Island. This project includes all 13 original colony states and has been commissioned to commemorate the country's semiquincentennial. All 13 panels will be framed by a conservator, then the entire collection will go on a national 2+ year tour.

I'm happy to announce the completion of the Rhode Island panel! Portsmouth Library and my studio Stitchery are co-hosting a Send-Off party on May 2, from 10am-12pm at Portsmouth Library to view the panel before it travels to the conservator. The exhibit is not scheduled to stop in Rhode Island until July 2027, so this is the only opportunity to see the completed work in its home state until then.
