School of Startups: Get Traction - 28, 29 & 30 October

Get Traction is where startups turn ambition into execution. Over three hands-on afternoon workshops, founders will dive deep into the essentials of sales, finance and team management — the core skills that drive real business momentum.

Tailored for innovators and entrepreneurs, this programme offers practical insights, peer learning and expert guidance to help you build stronger companies and scale with confidence.

WHO CAN APPLY:

- Companies and teams, not individuals. A company/team can have up to 4 members.

- The participation on the 3 days is mandatory, can be different members of each team participating in the different sessions.

- Maximum 10 teams will be selected - 600€ will be charged to those selected who confirm their participation and do not attend.

Info: This interactive session is designed to show that the real driver of a startup’s growth is its people.

The session blends Psychology, Neuroscience and hands-on scaling experience. Participants will explore how to apply brain-based people management, hire effectively with limited resources, use advanced interviewing techniques, and lead high-performing teams from the very beginning.

This workshop goes beyond theory, offering practical tools, candid insights and open discussion on the human challenges of building startups.

Info: This workshop will explore advanced themes in pricing, marketing and sales management, from strategies for positioning and value capture to techniques for structuring effective commercial approaches. The session also looks at emerging tools and practices, including the use of Large Language Models (LLMs), analytics and integrated CRMs to optimise customer engagement and decision-making.

Info: This session explores the differences between cost, income, revenue and expenses, clarifies financing versus investment and operational activities, and explains how to read and interpret the three key statements: balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow.


The workshop then shifts focus to the role of financials in business planning and decision-making. It highlights the importance of the business plan as a central tool for evaluating projects, adapting information for different contexts (short-term vs long-term, fundraising, M&A, or project assessment), and understanding the concept of value and its limitations when applied to financial tools.


Finally, the session provides an introduction to valuation theory and methods, including including the concept of perpetuity, discounted cash flow, and commonly used metrics such as IRR, NPV and payback.
