The session also looks at emerging tools and practices, including the use of Large Language Models (LLMs), analytics and integrated CRMs to optimise customer engagement and decision-making. ?: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PMFinancial Modelling for Startups - 30 octoberInfo: This session explores the differences between cost, income, revenue and expenses, clarifies financing versus investment and operational activities, and explains how to read and interpret the three key statements: balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow. 
The workshop then shifts focus to the role of financials in business planning and decision-making. It highlights the importance of the business plan as a central tool for evaluating projects, adapting information for different contexts (short-term vs long-term, fundraising, M&A, or project assessment), and understanding the concept of value and its limitations when applied to financial tools.
Finally, the session provides an introduction to valuation theory and methods, including including the concept of perpetuity, discounted cash flow, and commonly used metrics such as IRR, NPV and payback.
