Inspired and guided by the whispers of these African ancestors, Miguel Hyacinthe collects various materials, transforming and repurposing old, everyday objects to create astonishing and captivating masks that bring sacred spirits back to life.

For the first time, these masks emerge from the shadows and are presented to the public. The hidden space is proud to reveal their faces and messages in an exhibition that brings together matter, tribal mythology and the mystery of creation itself.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Miguel Hyacinthe is a Paris-based photographer who has always been fascinated by ethnic masks. A few years ago, he began creating his own Primitive figures from recycled materials, driven by a growing desire to feel more connected to his Caribbean and African roots and motivated by an innate sense of beauty and harmony.
