Beginners Welcome!About this EventKettle dyeing is Kasteyl's specialty that she has been perfecting for the last 15 years. This class is perfect for dyeing novices, no experience necessary.In this class you will learn: calculating and measuring dye, preparing yarn for dyeing mL vs grams, how different yarns take dye differently (Superwash vs non), how to use acid dyes, and how to finish your yarn. Each student will leave with 4 x 10g samples of wool yarn (pickup at the mill the following week).This class will be happening in the dyehouse portion of the mill. Masks are not required but highly encouraged.Date & Time: August 7th 5pm - 7pmPrerequisites: NoneMaterials:Notebook and pen/pencil for taking notes (optional)Dye apron (optional)Included in the Class Fee:40g of wool yarn, 20g Superwash and 20g non superwashLocation: 1311 SE 9th Ave, PortlandPlease note: Classes are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled.
