Winter Solstice Slow Down: A Black Joy Gathering

The Winter Solstice Slowdown is a cozy, intentional gathering created to honor rest, joy, creativity, and communal care within Black and African diaspora communities. This offering is part of Keep Growing Dreams’ Black Joy series and is held in the welcoming, intimate space of ZENhōm in Northeast Portland.

ZENhōm is a Portland-based creative wellness studio offering intimate workshops and gatherings.

What to Expect

This is a guided, move together as a group experience. Please plan to arrive on time and stay till the end.

You’ll be held through:

• A warm, grounding brunch + hot beverages- Meat & Vegitarian/Vegan options will be provided
• Intention Ornament Crafting – create a symbolic piece to carry into the new year
• Reiki + Sound Healing to soothe the nervous system and restore your energy with Desiree & Selena of Haus of Fruitz & Flowerz
• Guided Journaling with of ZEN:MNM to reflect, release, and set your winter intentions

This gathering is for those who identify as Black and/or part of the African diaspora.

Because each offering flows into the next, this is not a drop-in gathering. Arriving on time ensures you are part of the full experience.

We can’t wait to slow down with you, share a meal, create something meaningful, and enter winter in community and care.
