It will include time to share insights from our personal Reiki journeys, a brief guided meditation and / or knowledge share, and time for each practitioner to receive Reiki in a group setting.This is a wonderful opportunity for Reiki practitioners to gather together, deepen their practice, ask questions, and most importantly, RECEIVE some Reiki healing themselves!The house style of Firebird comes from the Usui / Takata lineage, and does involve light hands-on touch. The method of Reiki I practice is based upon the Usui Reiki Method, but has been inevitably Westernized since being taught in America for the past many decades. It is not the same as Traditional Japanese Reiki (which is not largely practiced outside of Japan). Out of respect for the cultural traditions of Japan, and the ascended masters in my lineage, I acknowledge that this cultural tradition does not belong to me. I practice with reverence and gratitude for this powerful healing modality. I will be donating a percentage of the revenue from this class to the Portland chapter of the Japanese-American Citizens League.ABOUT SARAH:Sarah Rayne (she/her) is a queer witch, a healing artist, and the people’s priestess.
