Trial session!About this EventBuild meaningful connections while taking your inner child outside to play!  We will open with a grounding meditation to connect with ourselves, our bodies, and the land, then we play.  There will be a giant parachute to run under (like in elementary school!), magnifying glasses to explore plants and bugs.  We will be making land art using fallen materials such as flowers, sticks, and leaves from the environment. No artistic skill needed. Remember what you liked to play as a child and do that!  Participants are free to bop around to any activity they want or simply take a break.  Lay in the grass, build community, and talk about life. Play freeze tag! Get silly! Come outside and play!Try it out at this introductory session for half the regular price. This is a therapeutic space so no substances or alcohol please. Natalie Hunt has spent many years working with children and is now committed to bringing a spirit of play and freedom to grown ups. She has a master’s degree in art therapy and a bachelor’s in sculpture.  Natalie is a queer, single mom who grew up mediating and at one point traded it in for activism before realizing she could have both. After a serious illness left her sensitive to screens and indoor lighting she discovered the powerful healing of mother earth, being in nature, and working with the land. She has been a land steward with Portland Food Forest Initiative, works regularly in NAYA’s Indigenous food sovereignty garden, and with Portland Fruit Tree Project.
