Filmmakers Schwalje and Wolf Lewis will be present for a post-screening Q&A at both screenings, and will be joined by representatives and employees of the Portland Water District.

Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong received the Fowlie Award for Audience Favorite at CIFF this September, marking the first time a Maine-based film has taken home the festival’s top audience honor. Both Schwalje and Wolf Lewis are alumni of Points North’s Artist Programs, having participated as emerging filmmakers in the LEF/CIFF fellowship program in 2023. Their win represents a meaningful full-circle moment—illustrating how Points North’s commitment to nurturing early-career artists ripples through the documentary community locally, nationally, and internationally.
