A Nashville-born son of a Hall of Fame country songwriter, Nada Rien (formerly Casey Black) singer-songwrites in a literary style about having a human mind in an animal's body. Like if Dostoevsky had grown up near Music Row. Like if Hemingway had a mental illness and could finger pick. He began his musical career as a professional songwriter in Nashville at 19, one of the youngest signed writers on the Row.
Since then, he has released five LPs and his latest EP Simulacra (2024, Nonexistent Records). His songs have been featured on TV shows Greek and Army Wives; he placed second in the Americana category of the International Songwriter Competition for I've Spent My Whole Life.
This Spring, Nada Rien took time out from a tour in Ireland to record songs for his first LP since taking the new name. It's called Cosmisconflagration and it will be out this Summer.

Peter Rodocker & So It Is make eclectic folk-pop colored by mandolin, banjo, and accordion. Heavy on hooks, harmony, and memorable melodies, Rodocker's songs lean heavy on introspection (but the kind you can dance to), relationships (which as it turns out, can be complicated), and trying to make sense of whatever the hell is happening in general.
Some say he reminds them of Rayland Baxter, Pinegrove, or Neil Finn. They have not been paid for their statements.
He’s written, recorded, and produced music featured in TV, film, and national commercials. He's also produced records for local favorites The Druthers, Tyler Stenson, and Jenna Ellefson. His most recent EP "We're Still Here" was released in 2023, and he's currently working on his fourth record.
