- **Event Description**: This hands-on workshop will be held on Sunday April 12, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leikam Brewing Company's Community Room: 5812 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97215.

Workshop will last approximately 2.5-3.0 hours, depending on your speed. Students will learn how to create a whimsical Ladybug or Beetle from stoneware clay, and glaze it. This is a skills-based class that is accessible by beginners, with great results. All required tools, clay and glazes will be supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing that is OK to get dirty, or wear a smock or apron. Workshop is suitable for adults and teens age 13+.

We will work together, step-by-step, as you learn how to use the tools, and learn the skills to create and glaze your very own Ladybug or Beetle sculpture. Bugs will then travel to my studio where I will dry slowly and then fire them in my ceramic kiln.

Ladybugs & Beetles will be available for pick-up at Leikam Brewery on Sunday May 17, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 PM. before my next workshop starts. 

Price includes one beer ticket. Beverage substitutions are available. An upcharge will be necessary for some beverages.
