Bathing in and singing these powerful transcendental sound vibrations cleanses the heart and the mind and brings peace to the soul.We open our meditation with a guided breathing practice and a resonant mantra circle that takes you deep into a meditative space. Then, sing along with ancient mantras in a call and response format. Come listen, soak up the vibes, sing along, and bring an instrument to jam along if you feel inspired!Beginners highly encouraged, all ages, voices and experiences welcome!Date & Time: Sunday, June 28th 6-8pmAddress: Kenilworth Park corner of SE 34th Ave and SE Holgate Blvd (look for the picnic tables)Parking: Look for street parking around the park.Public transport: Kenilworth Park is accessible from the 75 and 17 bus linesAccessibility: The venue is ADA accessible on the paved paths but some help might be needed closer to the picnic tables.Seating: Please bring pillows, blankets or chairs so that uou are comfortable.Food: We’ll serve out snacks and cold drinks at the end. All our food is made and offered with love by our volunteer community. We serve snacks because it’s a wonderful way to build community and because in the kirtan tradition sharing food that’s been offered with love (called prasadam) is a purifying, meditative activity. We cook plant-based, strictly vegetarian and usually vegan.
