Local teachers Molly McCarthy and Mitchell Daniels will be bringing you four hours of teaching at this fun collegiate shag workshop.These two dynamic dancers love to dance shag and have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they want to bring to Portland's swing dance scene. Molly and Mitchell will be kicking off hour one with a beginner friendly class that will teach the basic footwork as well as discuss the rhythm, styling, and pulse that makes this shuffle dance feel so easy-going. The remaining three hours will dive into specific moves in side-by-side, open, and closed position. The workshop will help dancers explore moves and transitions as well as encourage playfulness, creativity, and musicality on the dance floor.
