EVENT - H&H: Live Free or Die

The Engine Boss: 5 Years of My F*ck Ups – At some point every Engine Co, Officer will be responsible for supervising the initial hand line, however very few are given the foundational training needed to complete this task prior to or at time of promotion.
This program examines the roles and responsibilities of the Engine Co. Officer as the supervisor on the initial line, from responding through water on the fire.
The content presented is based on the Dave’s own fireground successes and, more importantly, his failures,…NOT theory.
Instructor Bio: Dave Quick is a 31-year veteran of the fire service and a Lieutenant with the Manchester (NH) Fire Department where he is assigned to Engine Co. 11 in the city’s Downtown and Janesville neighborhoods . He is a lead instructor in the department’s Recruit School where he teaches Engine Co. Operations and a Sr. Staff Instructor at the NH Fire Academy. He is also a technical panel member of the current UL FSRI “Fire Dynamics and Firefighting Tactics in Multi-Story Residential Structures”.
