Elemental Physicality: A 2-Day Acting Workshop with Riley Parham

Get out of your head and into your body.

Join award-winning director, actor, and playwright Riley Parham for an immersive two-day exploration of Elemental Physicality — a highly physical, outside-in approach to acting that reconnects you with your body as your most expressive instrument.

This workshop begins with Viewpoints, uncovering how you naturally move through space and connect with ensemble dynamics. From there, we’ll expand into embodied movement work inspired by the four elements — Earth, Air, Fire, and Water — to unlock new emotional textures, rhythms, and energies within your performance.

By deepening your physical awareness and exploring abstraction, you’ll discover how to:

• Ground yourself in your body and stay present in the moment.

• Break free from overthinking and over-planning.

• Expand your physical vocabulary for character creation.

• Translate physical impulses into authentic, dynamic performances.

Actors of all experience levels and capabilities are welcome ages 13 and up. This is a highly physical workshop, so come ready to move, explore, and play.
