A quiet, kid-free experience at the museum

After Hours provides an opportunity to explore the museum in a quieter, kid-free environment. This event is designed for 18+ who are looking for fewer crowds, less noise, and a more laid-back museum experience.

This event will feature our newest traveling exhibition, Monsters of the Abyss: Aquatic Predators Past + Present.

General Admission (all attendees must 18 or older) includes:
– Access to our featured exhibit, Monsters of the Abyss, and the turbine hall
- 6:30 pm + 7:45pm | Mesozoic Marine Madness: Join paleontologist Maximilian Scott on a deep-sea adventure back to the age of the mosasaurs—massive marine lizards that ruled the ancient oceans. Discover how bite marks and bone injuries reveal shocking clues about their social lives and fierce underwater battles. Learn how these prehistoric predators behaved like their modern-day reptilian cousins—and what their bones can tell us about life in the Mesozoic’s wild blue depths!(lecture + Q&A ~30 mins)
