Day Trips from Portland - The Best around the City

It has an elevation of close to 3,429 meters above sea level. There is the Timberline Trail which actually circumnavigates the mountain and has a 65.5 km long path which you can explore. If you love hiking, you could head over to the 150-mile long Willamette Valley. The beautiful greenery, pristine rivers and wide range of flora and fauna make it the best trek near Portland. For a beachier feel, you can take a day trip from Portland to Cannon Beach. The beach has a historic rock formation in addition to hiking trails as well.
