Join Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery for an Oregon Black Pioneers lecture exploring the Black experience in Oregon, reaching back 450 years.

People of African descent have lived and worked in Oregon since before the founding of the earliest English-speaking settlements, despite a popular narrative that often excludes the experiences of Black Oregonians before the mid-20th century. In this presentation, Oregon Black Pioneers will help correct the record by highlighting key individuals and events that characterize Oregon's unique and centuries-old Black history.

This event will be held at the Architectural Heritage Center, 701 SE Grand Avenue.

Tickets are required and attendance is limited due to capacity. Admission is a $10 suggested donation. FLFC members attend free.
