Sessions will address city-based small and emerging business programs, major corporate partner engagement strategies, critical legal and legislative developments affecting minority contractors nationwide, and chapter development, including strengthening chapter capacity, aligning local advocacy with national strategy, and sharing approaches that support member growth, sustainability, and engagement.Participants will also explore how federal and local funding streams—such as Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)—flow through cities and how chapters can work proactively with local officials to ensure member participation in funded projects. Additional discussions will examine workforce and compliance challenges, including the impact of immigration reform on the construction industry and guidance on DBE recertification requirements. To foster relationship-building and peer exchange, the Midwinter Meeting will include a networking event on the evening of Day One, providing attendees with an opportunity to connect with national leadership, chapter representatives, corporate partners, and key stakeholders in an informal setting. The meeting will conclude with the closed February National Board Meeting for National Board Members and Chapter Presidents. This event is designed to equip NAMC leaders and members with practical insights, policy awareness, and strategic tools to advance equity, opportunity, and chapter effectiveness across the NAMC network.Who Should AttendNAMC National Board MembersNAMC Chapter Presidents and Chapter LeadershipNAMC Corporate PartnersMinority contractors and construction industry professionalsPolicy, legal, and workforce development stakeholdersPublic-sector partners and other key industry stakeholders supporting supplier diversity and small business participationEvent Hotel:Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center375 NE Holladay StreetPortland, OR 97232Room rates:$145/night + resort fee (standard queen or king)$160/night + resort fee (river/mountain views queen or king)To reserve your room by phone or have questions for the hotel, please call (971) 222-1234 and refer to “NAMC Mid-Winter Meeting 2026”.The online room reservation link is Group Booking | Hyatt EventsContact the national office with any questions at (202) 296-1600 or events@namcnational.org
