- **Event Description**: 'People get ready' for a fabulous night of African Grooves and rhythms which will stir and excite, filling the room with sunshine! We are so happy to have Chris come to us with his extraordinary band for their first visit to Speakeasy.
Chris ‘Santo’ Cobbson is one of the UK’s foremost Jazz and World Music guitarists. He is in much demand working with artists and bands such as Courtney Pine, Ronnie Scott’s Big band, Osibisa, Sheila Ferguson, Omar, Ebony Steel band, Pee Wee Ellis, and Maceo Parker.
He draws on his African heritage and will explore Jazz, Soul and Caribbean music, as well as performing original songs from his debut Album.
The quartet have worked with artists such as Hugh Masekela, Jamie Callum, David Sanborn, Sade, Damon Albarn and Tony Allen.
They play infectious, Afrobeat jazz music with great percussion breaks and dance rhythms.
