- **Event Description**: Experience a guided night walk at the Tule River Parkway. Sunday June 21st is the summer solstice. This is the shortest night of the year. We meet in Fallen Hero’s Park at the parking lot at 8 pm then walk west on the Tule River Parkway to the Butterfield Stage Corridor Trail.  Nature at night is a unique experience. Adults and children of all ages are welcome. This is a free guided walk provided by the Tule River Parkway Association. Individuals have a choice of a 1.3 mile or a 1.7-mile round trip. This section of the trail features solar lights. There are restrooms and drinking fountains at Fallen Hero’s Park. We recommend bringing a flashlight, insect repellent, and a personal water bottle. The shorter walk returns in 30 -45 minutes and the longer walk in 45-75 minutes. There are opportunities to stop and enjoy the river corridor at night, talk with fellow walkers, and listen to nature.
