Entry Requirements:

Authorized Armored Steel Fighter either:
In their Kingdom or 
A provisional Authorization for Pennsic that was performed BEFORE the tournament.
Arrive armored and armed as per current SCA Steel Rules and Pennsic Steel Conventions.
Sign up at the Steel Combat Tent to participate before the tournament begins.

Tournament Format:

The fight format will be best of three one minute passes. 
Each pair shall agree on weapons for that round. Each round must be matched weapons. Choices are:
Single Arming Sword only.
Arming Sword and buckler. (Center grip shields, less than 16” maximum diameter.)
Arming Sword and shield (any list legal shield) 
Longsword
If 12 or fewer fighters, then the format will be  round robin
Wins = 1 point
Losses = -1 point
If there are 6 or more fighters: Ties = 0 points.  If there are fewer than 6 total fighters, ties are re-fought till a winner emerges.
Fighter with the most points wins the tournament. 
If 13 to 30 participants, the format will be Double Elimination
If more than 30 entrants, the format will be single elimination 
In the event of a tie in the final scoring, the tied fighters shall fight it out until a winner emerges.
