BLACK TRAIL FRIDAY / 2 different level hikes back to back

1) First hike is say 1.5 miles or so on mostly flat dirt surface (a portion of Trail 9 to the shortcut back via Trail 10). THEN those who want to can go.

2) Is rugged. Thinking this time we would take Trail 7 to the beach. See water/waves. Head east to the trail that goes up south to Mt Holden. This climb is the longest in the Indiana Dunes. It is NOT the steepest. In the summer in the direct sun it is a KILLER! In the cold 24-30F which is currently predicted it is much easier. ALSO I do NOT go fast. If you want FAST don’t come on this hike. If you are allergic to staying with the group don’t come and just go do one yourself. You obviously don’t need me.
