Will and Waichi Champion are a husband-and-wife team of professional percussionists and educators based in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. They perform together, arrange music, teach at East Texas A&M University, and run an innovative percussion accessory company called Wichi Percussion.
Will Champion is a freelance musician-teacher in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and I thrive on performing and teaching in a number of different capacities. I am an adjunct professor at East Texas A&M University and I regularly perform as a substitute percussionist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Aside from my orchestral and college work, I enjoy maintaining a weekly private studio of driven students.
Waichi Champion is a freelance percussion performer and educator based in Dallas, Texas. She holds a BM from the Manhattan School of Music and an MM from Northwestern University, both in Percussion Performance. She studied with She-e Wu, Duncan Patton, Christopher Lamb, Erik Charlston, Vadim Karpinos, Shaun Tilburg and Chin-Tung Chau. She is also an alumnus of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Music Academy of the West.
