Join us October 17 & 18 at the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds in Portales as the Peanut Valley Festival celebrates the agricultural heritage, harvest traditions, and small-town spirit that helped shape our community.

The Peanut Festival began as an “in-gathering” harvest celebration—a time when neighbors gathered at the end of the growing season to celebrate the harvest and community. This year, we're honoring those beginnings with our theme:

🌾 RETURNING TO OUR AG ROOTS 🌾

There will be something happening throughout the fairgrounds all weekend!

🍂 Pumpkin Patch — Wander through the patch and choose from thousands of pumpkins and assorted winter squash. Take your time, snap a few family photos among the pumpkins, and capture a little piece of Fall to remember for years to come. 

🌾 Harvest Market — Shop directly from local farmers, growers, homesteaders, and producers offering locally grown, raised, homemade, and producer-made goods.

🧺 Traditional Craft Fair — Head inside the Event Center to browse the traditional Peanut Valley Festival craft and specialty vendors.

🎶 Live Music & Ag-Related Demonstrations — Gather around the slab in the center of the fairgrounds throughout the weekend for live music and demonstrations celebrating agriculture, homesteading, and our rural way of life.

🚚 Food Truck Alley — Come hungry! Food trucks will be gathered in front of the Event Center with plenty of delicious options to enjoy while you explore the festival.
