QPR is a suicide prevention training for participants to be able to recognize the warning signs of suicide and question, persuade, and refer people at risk for suicide for help. CALM training is 1.5 hour training session from 12:15-1:45. CALM (Counseling on Access to Lethal Means) is an evidence-based suicide prevention training. It teaches clinicians, first responders, and community members how to collaboratively reduce an at-risk person’s access to lethal methods (especially firearms and medications) to buy time during a mental health crisis.
