- **Event Description**: The Portage Terriers are excited to announce that hockey legend Eddie Olczyk will be the guest speaker at the annual Sportsman’s Dinner & Auction on Friday Nov. 21, 2025.

Olczyk was drafted 3rd overall in 1984 by his hometown Chicago Blackhawks. He played over 1000 games in the NHL across six different teams including the Winnipeg Jets. Olczyk was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. Post playing career he transitioned to the role of broadcaster, which he still holds today.

The event is a joint fundraiser with Central Plains Cancer Services and will be held at Canad Inns, Portage. The evening opens with cocktails at 6pm and dinner at 7pm. A silent, rainbow, and live auction will be held.
