A fun and practical 6-week sewing course for teens, suitable for beginners. Students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, build confidence through small projects, and progress to making a simple garment.
The course includes:
● Sewing machine basics and practice, finishing with a handmade pin cushion
● Hand embroidery and sewing a zipped pouch
● Learning to take measurements, read a pattern and make PJ shorts or trousers
A relaxed, supportive class focused on learning new skills and taking home handmade projects.
Most supplies will be provided and there are machines available to use. If you have your own machine, please feel free to bring it.
Please purchase 2 metres of cotton for PJ Bottoms OR 1 metre of cotton for PJ shorts for week 4. (Duvet covers can be used too). You will also need 1 metre of 4cm wide elastic.
