This will be followed by a practical session cutting willow and birch scrub on the bog. TCV staff will give full instructions on the safe use of a number of basic hand tools. This is a great chance to get outside, meet like-minded people, and make a real difference by helping protect the natural environment. Brackagh Nature Reserve is a beautiful mosaic of wet woodland, bog and open water. It is an Area of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation due to the quality of the habitat and diversity of wildlife present, so protecting it is very important.
