- **Event Description**: On International Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers from around the world will work together to keep our oceans and the life in them as healthy and diverse as possible. In partnership with WA CoastSavers, Port Townsend Marine Science Center is sponsoring beach cleanups in the East Jefferson County area. Join us at either of our cleanup check-in locations: Fort Worden State Park or Port Ludlow Resort!

Register for either the Fort Worden State Park or Port Ludlow cleanup check-in location.

Check-in Locations:

At Fort Worden State Park
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance to the PTMSC Exhibit. From here, we will be sending participants to local beaches throughout Port Townsend and Port Hadlock.

At Port Ludlow Resort
9am to 1pm you will find us underneath a pop up tent in the parking lot. Look for signs!

At your check-in location you will be given directions to beach locations, trash bags and gloves.

Additional Cleanup Option:
Remote Cleanup! Are you feeling up for trekking a few miles on the beach and carrying a load of debris on your back? Well, this option is for you! We are putting together one or two small groups to clean up more remote beach locations. For more information on what this would entail, reach out to Mandi at mjohnson@ptmsc.org.

Return to your check-in location:
Return and we will weigh your accomplishments and receive a $5 Gift Card for the PT Food Coop.
