Get ready to launch your New Year’s Eve into the stratosphere! Join us for First Night Port Townsend, an all-ages, intergalactic celebration presented by The Production Alliance.
This year’s theme is “Extraterrestrial Extravaganza” — think cosmic vibes, alien inspiration, and a universe of fun for everyone.
What’s in store:
Emerging Artist DJ (3:00 PM) – kick off the afternoon with fresh local sounds from a rising talent.
Lantern-Making (3 PM–6 PM at the Cotton Building) – craft glowing spaceships, friendly aliens, flying saucers, and more with materials provided.
Lantern Parade (starts at 6 PM) – light up downtown with your creations as the Unexpected Brass Band leads the procession.
Fire performance by the Feral Fire Collective (around 6:40 PM) – dazzling dance, juggling, and fire artistry from our very own peninsula troupe.
Live music featuring local favorites like Tuff Puffin (starts 4:30 PM) – bringing fresh energy, originals, and fun covers.
Grand fireworks show (starting at 7 PM) – end the year under a sky full of stars, bursts of color, and community joy.
Food vendors and interactive art + history exhibits throughout the evening.
