Jean Lenke & Friends Christine Moon & Avery Saul celebrate the music of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein with a Candlelight Concert Benefit for Dove House

Peninsula musicians George Radebaugh, keys, Steve Kirk, guitar, Ted Enderle, drums & Tom Svornich will accompany.

Doors open at 6 pm for this very special one hour concert, 7-8 pm

With a beautifully smooth and soulful voice, Pacific Northwest Jazz, Folk & Blues vocal artist Jean Lenke paints music in full color, with broad strokes and a free hand. As bandleader her approach to music is free spirited, crossing boundaries and mixing genres ~ she doesn’t always color inside the lines. Whether performing with an intimate acoustic Duo or Trio, with her 6-piece "Jean Therapy West Band”, or with her all women Red Rose Quintet, Jean’s fresh approach to Classic Jazz is influenced by an eclectic mix of mid-century Folk,  Jazz-Rock Fusion and Soulful heartfelt passion for life.

A recent transplant from Portland, Oregon, Christine’s repertoire includes the Great American Songbook, big band and modern pop tunes.

Winner of the Jazz Society of Oregon’s amateur jazz singers contest, Christine went on to lead her own bands and perform as the lead vocalist for a seven-piece band that traveled to Taiwan, representing the Portland Rose Festival.

Christine’s voice has been described as “velvet” and “chocolate-ty” and she has played with some of the top musicians in Portland.

Now based on the Olympic Peninsula, you can find her singing with the Stardust Big Band and her own trio.
Her love of music is contagious and she is looking forward to sharing it with new friends on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula!

The concert will benefit Dove House, a local 501c3 organization that supports Women, Children & anon else going through transition after trauma and displacement.

ABOUT AVERY

Avery Saul is a passionate singer and aspiring musician whose love for performing began in high school choir and theatre. She’s taken on roles like Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Miss Hannigan in Annie, and the Witch in Into the Woods. She was a member of two select choirs—one earning recognition at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival—and has since performed frequently with the Peninsula College Jazz Band. 

In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar and sharing her folk-inspired sound at open mics.
