Port Townsend Jam 2025 December 17–21 | Fort Worden State Park, WA
Join dancers from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond for five days of movement, connection, and creative exploration at the annual Port Townsend Jam—a Contact Improvisation retreat held in the historic USO building at Fort Worden State Park. Nestled among ocean-view beaches, wooded trails, and abundant wildlife, this nature-infused gathering offers a restorative and inspiring setting for dancers of all levels.
Each day features a rich mix of participant-led labs, curated workshops, and open studio time. Evenings unfold into nightly jams, beginning with our Opening Jam on Wednesday, December 17 at 7pm. Optional pre-jam workshop “Lift. Land. Listen.” led by Cyrus Khambatta runs earlier that day from 1–4pm, offering tools for safe weight-sharing and fluid partnering.
Stay onsite in cozy park housing or camp under the stars—everything is just a short stroll from the studio. Whether you're new to CI or a seasoned mover, there's space to learn, play, and grow.
